- A new species of snake called Thackeray’s Cat Snake (scientific name Boiga thackeray) named after Tejas Thackeray, younger son of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, has been found in Sahyadri tiger reservein Koyna area of Satara district in Maharashtra after 125 years.
