UNESCO World Heritage List
- The Charaideo Moidams was recently included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site as the 43rd site from India.
- Charaideo Moidam is a 700–year–old mound–burial system of the Ahom dynasty from Assam.
- It is the first cultural site to be added to the list from the Northeast region.
- They are famously called the “Pyramids of ”
- After Kaziranga and Manas National Parks, it is Assam’s third World Heritage Site.
- The World Heritage Committee has inscribed 1,199 sites in 168 countries on the list. About UNESCO World Heritage Site

- It established the framework to preserve the world’s outstanding heritage
