Coin to mark Karunanidhi’s birth centenary
- The Union government will release a commemorative coin to mark the birth centenary of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi during an event in Chennai on August 18.
- The Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will release the coin in the presence of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin at Kalaivanar Arangam.
- The Union Finance Ministry had, issued the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coin on the occasion of Birth Centenary of Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi) Rules, 2024.
- The coin would be in the denomination of ₹100.
