Mpox
- Tamil Nadu’s Directorate of Public Health (DPH) and Preventive Medicine has asked airport and port health officers to be on high alert.
- The announcement was made after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared mpox which is an illness caused by the monkeypox virus as a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC).
- So far, no cases have been reported in Tamil
