World Autism Awareness Day 2025
▪ The United Nations (UN) observes World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) on 2 April 2025
▪ Theme – “Advancing Neurodiversity and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”.
▪ World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) was established by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 2007 through Resolution A/RES/62/139, with the objective of promoting awareness and understanding of autism.

Awards & Honours
Abel Prize
▪ The prestigious Abel Prize for mathematics was recently awarded to Japanese mathematician Masaki Kashiwara for his fundamental contributions to algebraic analysis and representation theory, in particular the development of the theory of D-modules and the discovery of crystal bases.
About Abel Prize
▪ The Abel Prize recognises pioneering scientific achievements in mathematics.
▪ It is named after Norwegian mathematician Niels Henrik Abel (1802-29), who in his short life made pioneering contributions to multiple fields.
▪ The prize was established by the Norwegian Parliament in 2002, on Abel’s 200th anniversary.
