Chevalier Award

  • The French government’s highest Chevalier award was presented to film art director Thota Dharani by the French Ambassador to India Thierry Mathaud at a ceremony held on 13.11.25 at the Alliance Francaise complex in Nungambakkam, Chennai.
  • Thota Dharani was awarded the highest Chevalier award of France in recognition of his contribution to art and the film industry over the past 64 years.
  • Dharani is known for creating the most realistic ‘sets’ for South Indian language films. Thota Dharani had realistically displayed his artistic skills in films including Nayagan, Indian, Jeans, and Ponniyin Selvan.
  • The ‘Chevalier’ award, given in the fields of art and literature, has been given to actors Sivaji Ganesan (1995) and Kamal Haasan (2016). 

It is noteworthy that the award for the best companies for women to work for is presented to them.

  • The Avatar Group, India’s leading workplace culture consultancy, has announced the award for the best companies for working women.
  • The event was held in Chennai.
  • The top 10 best companies for working women in India were honored with awards.
  • Women working in 10 companies, namely Accenture Solutions, AXA XL, Cairn Oil and Gas, EY, KPMG, MasterCard, Aptum Global Solutions, Procter & Gamble, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro, received the Avatar Group awards.
