▪ The A.B.J. Abdul Kalam Award for Science and Technology is being given
▪ ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan was given the Dr. A.B.J. Abdul Kalam Award
▪ V. Narayanan – V. Narayanan, who has served in many important leadership positions in ISRO for 41 years and has now risen to its chairman, has been given the A.B.J. Abdul Kalam Award for Science and Technology.
Kalpana Chawla Award – Tulasimathi Murugesan
▪ The Kalpana Chawla Award is given for courage and adventure.
▪ Kalpana Chawla Award was given to Thulasimathi Murugesan from Kanchipuram district, who has achieved success in badminton despite having a left-hand tendon degeneration disorder, without considering physical challenges as a barrier.
