M.S. Swaminathan Annual Award for Food and Peace
▪ Indian Prime Minister presented the first M.S. Swaminathan Annual Award for Food and Peace to Nigerian scientist Ademola A. Adenle.
▪ Established by: M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF).
▪ Purpose: To honour the legacy of Professor M.S. Swaminathan, widely regarded as the “Father of the Green Revolution” in India.
▪ Recognition: Given to individuals with outstanding contributions in agriculture, nutrition, food systems, and peace building.
