Books by 8 scholars were nationalised
- The state government announced that the Literary Works of eight Tamil scholars were nationalized.
- It is important that the literary works of Tamil Scholars should be made available to all. Hence the writings of the best Tamil scholars are nationalised by Government.
- The solatium will be given to their legal heirs having regard to the number of books written by them, their social impact and their literary value.
