Exercise Garuda Shakti (8th Edition) 2022
- The 8th edition of the India-Indonesia bilateral joint training exercise “Garuda Shakti” began at the Sangga Buana training centre in Karawang, West Java, Indonesia.
- Garuda Shakti 2022 is a part of military-to-military exchange programs.

- The first edition of Exercise Garuda Shakti was conducted in 2012 in India.

Kuvempu Rashtriya Puraskar Award 2022
- The Tamil Writer Annamalai has been selected for the Kuvempu Rashtriya Puraskar Award 2022 by the Rashtrakavi Kuvempu Prathishtana (Trust), Kuppali, Karnataka.
- The national award was instituted in memory of the late poet laureate Kuvempu of Kannada Literature
- Since 2013, the memorial foundation named after him has been honoring the best writers in each language with the Rashtriya Puraskar National Award.
- The award carries a cash award of ₹5 lakh, a silver medal and a citation.
