- 7.5 million people were newly diagnosed with TB in 2022
- India, Indonesia and the Philippines collectively accounts for nearly 60% of the reduction in the number of people newly diagnosed with TB in 2020 and 2021.
- TB caused an estimated 1.30 million deaths in 2022
Production Gap Report 2023
- The Production Gap Report 2023 was jointly released by Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), Climate Analytics, E3G, International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) recently
- The report states that many countries are planning to produce twice as much fossil fuels in 2030 which is more consistent with limiting warming to 2 degrees Celsius than limiting it to 1.5 degrees Celsius
