Sagreshwar wildlife sanctuary
▪ It has 536 sambars and 295 cheetals (spotted deer), making the sanctuary one of the highest in deer population, especially among manmade wildlife sanctuaries.
▪ It is located in the Sangli district of Maharashtra.
▪ It is India’s first manmade wildlife sanctuary.
▪ It is an artificially cultivated forest without a perennial supply of water, and most of the wildlife species were artificially introduced.
