Megalithic site found in Kerala
- Kerala State Archaeology Department found a new Megalithic site at Nagaparamba in Kuttippuram village, near Tirunavaya, in Malappuram district.
- A large number of megalithic hat stones, burial sites and relics were found from the site.
About Hat Stones
- Hat stones, popularly called Thoppikkallu in Malayalam, are hemispherical laterite stones used as lids on burial urns during the megalithic period.
