- The 19th edition of Asian Games was in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 8, 2023.
- The Indian contingent list in the Asian Games is 921, including 655 athletes, 260 coaches, and support staff.
- Mascots : Chenchen, Congcong, Lianlaian
- India won 28 gold, 38 silver and 41 bronze with a total of 107 medals.

- American woman economist Claudia Goldin (77) has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences.
- Contribution – For her research in understanding the participation of women in the labor market and the gender gap in the workplace.
- She is third women to be awarded the noble for Economics.
- Awarding Institution – Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences
