- International Day for Biosphere Reserve is annually observed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to raise awareness of the importance of biosphere reserves and to promote their conservation and sustainable use.
- It was first observed in 2022.
- Theme for 2023 is “Empowering Sustainable Practices”
