Pro Term Speaker
Bhartruhari Mahtab was apponted as the pro term Speaker of the 18th Lok Sabha by the President Droupadi Murmu.
The pro-tem Speaker’s primary duty is administering oaths to new MPs.

The appointment was made under Article 95(1) of the Constitution to perform the duties of Speaker till election of the Speaker.
Pro Term Speaker is not mentioned in the Constitution of India.
