Chess: Gukesh becomes World Champion
▪ India’s D. Gukesh defeated reigning champion Ding Liren of China with a score of 7.5-6.5 to win the World Chess Championship title on Thursday.
▪ Gukesh has created history by becoming the youngest player (18) to win the championship. He has also earned the distinction of being the second Indian to win this championship.
