Avadi OCF Military Uniforms Export to South America
▪ The Ordnance Clothing Factory in Avadi, India has exported military uniforms to “Suriname” in South America
▪ This factory was established in 1961
▪ Initially, it only manufactured military uniforms. Currently, it produces various types of protective
clothing, including bullet-proof jackets and different types of uniforms
▪ Uniforms are designed according to the climatic conditions of each country
▪ In 2024, defense equipment exports generated revenue of Rs. 20,083 crores, marking a 31% increase
▪ Defense exports have seen steady growth over the past 10 years. The central government has set a target to achieve revenue of Rs. 50,000 crores by 2029
