HADR exercise
▪ INS Sharda reached the Maldives’ Maafilaafushi Atoll to participate in a joint Humanitarian
Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercise. This bilateral exercise with the Maldives
National Defence Force (MNDF) runs until May 10
▪ It highlights operational synergy in humanitarian missions and reflects India’s strategic maritime vision, “MAHASAGAR” – Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions.

Khelo India Youth Games
▪ Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the seventh edition of the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) in Patna, Bihar. This edition, marking a significant milestone for the state, features 27 medal sports and the introduction of esports as a demonstration event.
