Decision by U.S., India to end trade row

  • The decision taken by U.S. and India to end six major trade disputes at WTO is a “big victory” and will be mutually beneficial for both countries, Commerce and Industry.
  • The disputes include three initiated by India and as many by the U.S. the resumption of talks at the Trade Policy Forum has started yielding significant results.

Sahitya Akademi

  • The winner of the Bal Sahitya Puraskar is Udhayasankar (Aadhanin Pommai) and recipients of the Yuva Puraskar are Ram Thangam (Tirukkarthiyal) in Tamil.

Best State University

  • The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University was jointly nominated by the FICCI and The New Indian Express as the “Best State University”.
  • Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Col. Prof. (Dr) N.S. Santhosh Kumar received the “Best State University Award” at the hands of Thiru.T.Mano Thangaraj.
