World Turtle Day

Ayush Grid Initiative
- The Ayush Anudan Portal was introduced under the Ayush Grid Initiative to make the submission, evaluation, approval, and tracking of grant proposals completely digital and more efficient.
About the Ayush Grid Initiative
- The Ministry of AYUSH launched the Ayush Grid Initiative in 2018 as a digital programme aimed at creating an integrated, transparent, and citizen-focused digital system for the AYUSH sector.
- As part of this initiative, several digital platforms have been developed, such as the Ayush Hospital Management Information System (A-HMIS) and e-Aushadhi.
- The initiative is aligned with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) and covers areas like education, research, medicinal plant management, drug regulation, and other AYUSH-related services.
Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board
- Establishment: Founded in September 1970 under the Tamil Nadu Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1971.
- Officially renamed from “Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board” to Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board in September 2021 to better represent urban poor welfare and housing infrastructure.
- The motto of Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board is “GOD WE SHALL SEE IN THE SMILE OF THE POOR“.
- Core Mandate: Clearing slums, building tenements with proper sanitation, providing affordable multi-story housing, and undertaking resettlement programs across urban Tamil Nadu.
Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS)
- CPGRAMS is an online platform that enables citizens to submit grievances related to public service delivery at any time.
- CPGRAMS was created and launched in June 2007.
- Developed by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG).
- It acts as a single integrated portal connected with all Ministries, Departments of the Government of India, and State Governments.
- Every Ministry and State Government has role-based access to manage and resolve grievances through the system.
- CPGRAMS can also be accessed through a dedicated mobile application.
- The platform is integrated with the UMANG platform for easier public access.
- Citizens can track the status of their complaints using the unique registration number generated at the time of grievance submission.
- If the complainant gives a “Poor” rating, the option to file an appeal becomes available.
- The status of the appeal can also be monitored using the grievance registration number.
‘Khet Bachao Abhiyan’
- The campaign promotes soil health, soil test-based nutrient management, and balanced fertilizer use to prevent the degradation of long-term soil fertility.
- Implemented: Indian Council of Agricultural Research
- Objectives:
- Balanced nutrient use: Promote soil testing and reduce excess chemical fertilizers; encourage organic farming.
- Soil protection: Use green manure and bio-fertilizers to maintain fertility.
- Dealer awareness: Prevent sale of fake pesticides and substandard seeds.
- Crop diversification: Shift from only paddy-wheat to pulses, oilseeds, and cash crops.
