Police Valor Day:
- At the Police Memorial in Chennai, 10 Central Security Force constables were martyred in a sudden attack by the Chinese army at Hot Springs near the border area of Ladakh on 21.10.1959.
- Following this incident, Police Valor Day is observed every year on 21st October to pay tribute to the constables who died in various incidents while on duty.
