Tribal Day
- Tribal Day is celebrated every year on 15th November to commemorate the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, a tribal freedom fighter and anti-colonial leader.
- This year marks his 150th birth anniversary.
- This day is celebrated to celebrate the sacrifice and struggles of Birsa Munda and other Indian tribal leaders against colonial rule and to celebrate the diverse tribal culture and heritage of the country.
- The Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs is implementing various schemes to promote tribal history and culture.
- The Central Government is making efforts to establish 11 museums to celebrate the contribution of historic tribal freedom fighters.
