Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Birth Anniversary
 Birth: Born on 15 October 1931 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, India, Dr. Kalam is famously known as the “Missile Man of India.”
Achievements:
 Played a key role in India’s missile and space programs.
 Made significant contributions to India’s second Pokhran nuclear test in 1998.
 Elected as India’s 11th President in 2002.
 After completing his five-year term, he continued contributing to education, writing, and public service.
 Death: Passed away on 27 July 2015 in Shillong.
Honors:
 Awarded India’s highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna, in 1997.
 Widely known as the “People’s President.”
