Played a key role in India’s missile and space programs.
Made significant contributions to India’s second Pokhran nuclear test in 1998.
Elected as India’s 11th President in 2002.
After completing his five-year term, he continued contributing to education, writing, and public service.
Death: Passed away on 27 July 2015 in Shillong.
