Digital Transactions
▪ Among those who have bank accounts across the country, 54% use digital transactions.
▪ In 2014, the Central Government introduced the ‘Jan Dhan’ scheme for everyone to have bank accounts for direct transfer of subsidies to bank accounts, and savings accounts without minimum deposit were started for the underprivileged.
▪ From then began India’s digital transaction revolution.
