“July Declaration”
▪ The July Declaration is a move by Bangladesh’s interim government to give constitutional recognition to the 2024 student-led uprising that ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
▪ The declaration, set to be unveiled on August 5, 2025.
▪ The uprising was led by the Students Against Discrimination (SAD), and the declaration aims to promote anti-fascism, democratic resurgence, and state reform.
