The National Commission for Women (NCW)
- NCW will launch 21 pre-marital communication centres across nine states including Delhi, to provide counselling and guidance on marriage-related issues.
- NCW plans to set up these centres across all districts in country over the next one year.

‘e-Shram’ Platform
- The Union Ministry of Labor and Employment has announced that workers in online food delivery, vehicle transport, and professional services must register on the ‘e-Shram’ website.
- There are over 1 crore workers in this sector in India. NITI Aayog has estimated this will reach 2.35 crore by 2029-30.
- These workers will be provided with identity cards and health benefits including free medical insurance up to Rs.5 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

High Priority to Women’s Safety in the Last 10 Years; Central Government
- Economic empowerment programs like ‘Lakshadipati Sister’, ‘Namo Drone Sister’ have been provided.
- 3 crore women have become homeowners under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme. Additionally, toilets have been built in millions of homes, ensuring women’s dignity.
- Maternity leave has been increased from 12 weeks to 26 weeks.
- To protect the lives of Muslim sisters, a strict law against triple talaq was created. With the removal of Article 370, women’s property rights were established in Jammu and Kashmir.
- Women’s participation in the judiciary has increased. 35% of district court judges are women,
- and in many states over 50% of civil judges appointed are women.
- In cases related to sexual violence, procedures have been established to file charges within 60 days and deliver judgments within 45 days.
- Under the Zero FIR section, women subjected to violence can file complaints at any police station.
- Approval has been given to set up 800 fast-track courts to expedite cases of crimes against women, most of which are now operational.
