First woman medical officer to be deployed at Siachen
- Captain Geetika Koul has become the first woman medical officer in the Indian Army to be deployed at Siachen, the world’s highest battlefield.
- She will be deployed after successfully completing the induction training at Siachen Battle School.
Sammakka-Sarakka Central Tribal University
- A bill to establish a central tribal university in Telangana was introduced in the Lok Sabha by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
- The university will be established as per the provisions provided in the Thirteenth Schedule to the Andhra Pradesh Re-organisation Act, 2014.
