38th National Games
▪ The National Games began in Dehradun, Uttarakhand
▪ Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the games at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, with around 25,000 spectators in attendance
▪ About 10,000 athletes and officials from 38 states and union territories are participating in 32 different sporting events, which will continue until February 14
▪ 450 gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded to the winning athletes
