Raisina Dialogue
▪ It is India’s premier conference on geopolitics and geo-economics, dedicated to addressing some of the most pressing global challenges
▪ Hosted annually in New Delhi
▪ The 10th edition of the Raisina Dialogue is set to take place from March 17 to March 19, 2025.
▪ The central theme for Raisina Dialogue 2025 is “Kālachakra – People, Peace and Planet.”
▪ Over 3,500 participants from around 125 countries will join the Raisina Dialogue in person, making it one of the largest diplomatic gatherings in India
The Fit India Carnival
▪ It is a first-of-its-kind three-day fitness and wellness event
▪ it was inaugurated by Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports in New Delhi.
▪ The event aims to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and healthy lifestyle choices among citizens.
Prime Minister’s Vocational Training Program App
▪ The Central Government has introduced a mobile application for the “Prime Minister’s Vocational Training Program,” a new initiative aimed at enhancing the vocational skills of youth.
▪ Under this program, the government has set a target of providing 1.27 lakh vocational training opportunities during the 2024-25 period. In the first phase, they planned to provide 1.27 lakh opportunities.
▪ In the second phase of the training program, 1.18 lakh training opportunities have been announced by 327 organizations.
▪ Youth enrolling in this program will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000 for 12 months, plus a onetime grant of Rs. 6,000.

New Supreme Court Judge Takes Oath
▪ Jayamalya Bagchi, who was a judge at the Kolkata High Court, has been sworn in as a Supreme Court Judge. The oath was administered by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Sanjiv Khanna.
▪ With this appointment, the number of Supreme Court judges has increased to 33.
▪ The sanctioned strength of judges in the Supreme Court is 34.
▪ He will serve until the year 2031, which is over 6 years.
▪ The Central Government appointed him as a Supreme Court judge based on the Collegium’s recommendation.
List of Most Air-Polluted Countries for the Year 2024
▪ Switzerland-based IQAir company has released the Air Quality Index list. This list collected air quality
data from 8,954 cities across 138 countries.
▪ Data was collected from over 40,000 air quality monitoring stations to compile this list.
▪ According to World Health Organization recommendations, the PM 2.5 level in the air should be
between 0-5 micrograms/cubic meter.
Important Rankings:
▪ Chad – This country recorded a PM 2.5 level of 91.8, which is 18 times higher than the recommended
level, placing it at the top of the list.
