NAKSHA stands for National Geospatial Knowledge-based Land Survey of Urban Habitations.
This initiative addresses the pressing need for modern, accurate, and accessible land records in urban settings.
It aims to reform urban land surveys using advanced geospatial technologies.
As urban populations surge, the need for accurate land records becomes critical.
The programme is implemented by the Department of Land Resources in collaboration with the Survey of India and the National Informatics Centre Services Inc. (NICSI).
It is funded entirely by the Government of India.
Bharat Gen
India launched Bharat Gen, a groundbreaking Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiative.
This multimodal Large Language Model (LLM) is designed to cater to the diverse linguistic and cultural landscape of India.
The initiative was revealed at the BharatGen Summit, the largest event focused on Generative
AI in the country.
Bharat Gen is a product of the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NMICPS) and is supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST).
It aims to revolutionise AI applications across various sectors.
