World Food India event
▪ The 4th edition of World Food India will be held from September 25 to 28, 2025 in New Delhi.
▪ Organised By: Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India.
▪ Objective:
✓ To showcase developments in the food processing sector.
✓ To promote the vision that at least one Indian food item should reach the dining tables of every home in the world.
Caste-wise Census in Karnataka
▪ Karnataka has planned to conduct a new caste-wise census starting from September 22.
▪ The objective of the caste-wise census is to eliminate caste-based discrimination.
▪ This caste-wise census will be conducted for 15 days from September 22 to October 7.
▪ In 2015, the Kantharaj-led Backward Classes Commission had already conducted a caste-wise
census with 54 questions, and this time additional questions will be added.
