- The first special train service for Saurashtra-Tamil confluence was inaugurated from Chennai-Egmore railway station by Governor R.N. Ravi
- Saurashtra Tamil Sangam Festival held from April 17 April 26 for 10 days in Gujarat state.

- The winner of Miss India 2023 is Nandini Gupta from Kota, Rajasthan.
- Nandini will represent India at the 71st edition of the grand Miss World pageant, to be held in the United Arab Emirates.
