51k new appointments under Rozgar Mela Programme
- PM Narendra Modi handed out 51,000 appointment letters to new recruits under Rozgar Mela Programme.
- These recruits will be joining the paramilitary forces, Narcotics Control Bureau, and Delhi Police as constable and sub-inspector (general duty) and in non-general duty cadre posts.
About Rozgar Mela Programme
- It is an employment strategy to fast-track the meeting of job seekers and employers.
- Organised by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
- These Rozgar Melas generally cater to the youth in the age group of 18-35 Years.
- Academic qualification: 8th/10th/12th Pass, ITI, Diploma, Graduates etc. including the trained and certified candidates conforming to National Skills Qualifications Framework.
