- Recently, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare concluded all 3 Rounds of Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0 (IMI 5.0) Campaign
- All States/UTs except Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Punjab concluded all 3 rounds.
- As on 30th September 2023, over 34,69,705 children and 6,55,480 pregnant women were administered vaccine doses during the first 2 rounds of IMI 5.0 campaign across the country.
About the IMI 5.0 campaign
- Launch – 2023
- Objective – To enhance immunization coverage for all vaccines provided under the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) as per the National Immunization Schedule (NIS).
- Aims to eliminate measles and rubella by 2023 by improving the coverage of vaccinations.
- Includes children up to 5 years of age (Previously up to 2 years).
- It leverages the U-WIN digital platform for Routine Immunization in a pilot mode.

Centre issues guidelines to set up 822 selfie points
- The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has issued detailed guidelines to all its departments for the development of selfie points to showcase good works done or being done.
- The guidelines suggest that to showcase the growth in innovation, digital selfie points, displaying artificial intelligence techniques may also be installed to attract the youth.
- The suggested locations include war memorials, defence museums, railway, metro and bus stations, schools, colleges, tourist destinations and festival gatherings.
- Themes for the selfie points which include Aatmanirbhar Bharat (DPSUs & three services), Sashaktikaran (three services), R&D and Innovation (DRDO & DDP), Nari Shakti (three services) etc.
