CEO conference
▪ The Election Commission (EC) held a conference of Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) of all States and Union Territories to assess the preparedness for rolling out a nationwide special intensive revision (SIR) of voter lists.
▪ The commission was planning to roll out the SIR.
▪ The conference was inaugurated by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar in the presence of Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi.
▪ The conference indicated that the SIR will be carried out in Tamil Nadu also.
