UN Troop Contributing Countries (UNTCC) Chiefs Conclave
▪ India will host the United Nations Troop Contributing Countries (UNTCC) Chiefs Conclave in New Delhi from October 14–16, 2025, at the Manekshaw Centre.
▪ The conclave aims to enhance global cooperation and dialogue on UN peace operations.
▪ Army chiefs from over 33 nations to attend, mainly from the Global South and Europe.
India’s Role in UN Peacekeeping:
▪ India’s participation has evolved from a passive observer to an active stabiliser in global
conflict zones.
▪ The country remains one of the largest troop contributors to UN peacekeeping missions.
▪ Currently, around 5,500 Indian personnel (men and women) serve in nine countries under UN mandates.
