Kerala joins ‘PM Shri’ scheme
- Kerala’s public education minister has said that Kerala will join the ‘PM Shri’ scheme to receive the outstanding funds from the central government.
PM Shri Scheme - It is a central government scheme announced by the Prime Minister in September 2022 with the aim of improving the quality of school education in India.
- Under this scheme, which aims to create model schools based on the National Education Policy-2020, more than 14,500 schools operating under the control of central, state and local governments are to be upgraded.
- Through this scheme, central, state and local government schools in the country will be converted into mmodel schools and modern educational facilities will be provided.
