▪ The Union government released the 17th instalment of the PM Kisan Nidhi scheme.
▪ The scheme is expected to benefit 9.3 crore farmers and distribute around ₹20,000 crore.
About PM Kisan Nidhi
▪ Launch – February 24, 2019.
▪ Objective – To supplement the financial needs of the farmers in procuring various inputs.
▪ Benefit – Financial benefit of Rs 6000/- per year is transferred in three equal four-monthly installments
