- The House of Representativesof the US has voted to impeach President Donald Trump.
- The voting of impeachment was on the grounds of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. President Trump will be the thirdpresident in U.S. history to be impeached.
- The other two Presidents who were impeached were President Andrew Johnsonin 1868 and President Bill Clinton in 1998.
Allegations on Trump
- The House chamber voted 230 to 197 to adopt the first of two impeachment articles. One of the allegations is he misused the power of his office to pressure Ukraine to investigate the Bidens.
- The House voted 229 to 198 on a second article that accused him of obstructing Congress.
