Palm- leaf manuscript
- India’s first palm leaf manuscript museum was inaugurated at the Central Archives at a Fort in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

- Palm-leaf manuscripts are one of humanity’s most ancient and widespread technologies for transmitting and preserving knowledge in written form.
- The museum will feature a rare collection of over 1 crore of palm-leaf manuscripts available with the Archives Department including administrative documents from the Venad era and political and social documents from Travancore, Kochi and Malabar.
- The museum will also display manuscripts featuring ancient alphabets including Vattezhuthu, Kolezhuthu and Malayanma.

Awards and Honour
GRIHA Exemplary Performance Award 2022.
- The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Headquarter in New Delhi has won the prestigious GRIHA Exemplary Performance Award 2022, a top national level Green Building Award.
- UIDAI believes and promotes the idea of recycling and reuse to reduce carbon footprint. It has been harnessing solar power to meet a portion of its energy consumption. It is recycling and reusing water and has been adhering to sustainable waste management practices.
About GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment)

- GRIHA was developed by TERI (The Energy and Research Institute) and was adopted as a national rating system for green buildings by the Government of India in 2007.
- It evaluates environmental performance of a building holistically over its entire life cycle, thereby providing a definitive standard for what constitutes a ‘green building’.
- GRIHA is also recognized as India’s own green building rating system in India’s Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDC) submitted to UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change)
