YUVIKA Programme

  • The Indian Space Research Organization, ISRO will begin the ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2023.
  • This Programme is run by ISRO to teach younger children the fundamentals of space technology, science, and applications.

About the Programme:

  • ISRO’s ex-chief K. Sivan announced the Programme on January 18, 2019, and it was launched four months later on May 17.
  • Indian Space Research Organization is organizing a special Programme for School Children called “Young Scientist Programme” “YUva VIgyani KAryakram”, YUVIKA,
  • Aim: to impart basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the younger students in emerging trends in space science and technology amongst the youngsters, who are the future building blocks of our nation.
  • three students each will be selected to participate in it every year from each state and union territory, covering CBSE, ICSE and state syllabus.
  • The eligibility for being chosen for the Programme includes those students who have finished 8th standard and are currently studying in the 9th standard.
