T.N. Increases monthly aid for persons with disabilities
- TN Government announced an increase in the monthly financial assistance to various categories of persons with disabilities from ₹1,000 to ₹1,500.
- The Government is planning to create an environment in which they could work from home.
- The Government is providing training in computer software and laptops so that they could get employment.
Mudhalavarin Mugavari
- The Chief Minister’s grievance departments (முதலமைச்சரின் குறைதீர்ப்பு துறைகள்) have been consolidated to form a new department. It is called as Mudhalavarin Mugavari (முதல்வரின் முகவரி).
- Mudhalavarin Mugavari Department plays an important role in addressing the grievances of the common people. This department is under the direct control of Chief Minister Ofiice.
- Mudhalavarin Mugavari Department has launched a new quality assessment initiative to expedite action on petitions submitted by the public.
- Accordingly, three grades ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ will be awarded.
- If a petition fully filed and solved then it is graded as ‘A’.
- If the petition submitted by the general public is under consideration of another department or under the consideration of the address department of the Chief Minister, it is subjected to ‘B’ grade queue.
- In case the petitions are not processed, they are classified as ‘C’. Through this, all the petitions received in the Mudhalavarin Mugavari department of the Chief can be analyzed according to the nature of the requests and actions can be taken quickly and systematically.
