Living Craft Treasure Award 
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin presented the Living Craft Treasure Award 2022 - 23 to eight crafts persons and the Poompuhar State Award 2022 - 23 to 10 artisans. These awards are presented to crafts persons and artisans who have excelled in their respective fields. Living Craft Treasure Award carries a cheque for ₹1 lakh, a tamirapathiram, an eight gram gold medal and a certificate. Poompuhar State Award carries a cash prize of ₹50,000, a four gram gold medal, a tamirapathiram and a certificate. Acting Chief Justice of Madras High Court Justice D. Krishnakumar has recently been appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of Madras High Court. Appointment of Acting Chief Justices is to be made by the President under Article 223 of the Constitution.
