Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0 (IMI 5.0) concluded all 3 rounds. Recently, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare concluded all 3 Rounds of Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0 (IMI 5.0) Campaign All States/UTs except Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Punjab concluded all 3 rounds. As on 30th September 2023, over 34,69,705 children and 6,55,480 pregnant women were administered vaccine doses during the first 2 rounds of IMI 5.0 campaign across the country. About the IMI 5.0 campaign Launch – 2023 Objective - To enhance immunization coverage for all vaccines provided under the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) as per the National Immunization Schedule (NIS). Aims to eliminate measles and rubella by 2023 by improving the coverage of vaccinations. Includes children up to 5 years of age (Previously up to 2 years). It leverages the U-WIN digital platform for Routine Immunization in a pilot mode. The guidelines suggest that to showcase the growth in innovation, digital selfie points, displaying artificial intelligence techniques may also be installed to attract the youth. The suggested locations include war memorials, defence museums, railway, metro and bus stations, schools, colleges, tourist destinations and festival gatherings.
