Defence, National Security and Terrorism Harimau Shakti ▪ The 4th India-Malaysia Joint Military Exercise, HARIMAU SHAKTI, has begun at Bentong Camp in Malaysia’s Pahang district and will continue until December 15, 2024. ▪ India is represented by 78 personnel from the MAHAR Regiment. ▪ HARIMAU SHAKTI is an annual exercise. It alternates locations between India and Malaysia. ▪ The previous year’s exercise occurred at Umroi Cantonment in Meghalaya, India. CINBAX ▪ CINBAX is the first joint exercise between the Indian Army and the Cambodian Army, commenced on December 1, 2024, and will conclude on December 8, 2024. ▪ The exercise takes place at the Foreign Training Node in Pune. Each army has dispatched 20 personnel to participate. ▪ The focus is on planning joint Counter-Terrorism (CT) operations under United Nations guidelines.
