Assembly Session ▪ The State Government stated that the next session of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly to discuss the Demands for Grants for various departments will commence on June 24. ▪ "Demand for Grants" is a formal request for funds made by various ministries or departments of the government. Note ▪ Article 203 of Constitution of India states that no demand for a grant shall be made except on the recommendation of the Governor. DigiYatra facility ▪ The Airport Authority of India (AAI) stated that the DigiYatra facility will be launched in Chennai Airport after getting clearance from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). ▪ It has already been introduced in other Airports in India. About DigiYatra facility ✓ Launch – December 1, 2022. ✓ Objective - To provide hassle-free travel experience to air travellers. ✓ Launched by - Ministry of Civil Aviation and DigiYatra Foundation. Unified India Organic Logo ▪ Unified India Organic logo was introduced recently for organic products in India. ▪ It was jointly developed by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). ▪ At present, ✓ India Organic logo is used on organic products complying with National Programme for Organic Products (NPOP). ✓ Jaivik Bharat logo is used on organic products certified by FSSAI. ▪ Unified India Organic logo will replace the India Organic and Jaivik Bharat logos. DigiYatra facility at Delhi, Varanasi, Bengaluru airports.
DigiYatra facility at Delhi, Varanasi, Bengaluru airports. Under the DigiYatra initiative, passengers can use their face as a boarding pass from December 1 in the airports of Delhi, Varanasi and Bengaluru. The facial recognition can be used to access the security check area and pass the boarding gate. Providing Aadhaar details is mandatory for travelers to avail themselves of this service. About DigiYatra The Ministry of Civil Aviation has launched the ‘DigiYatra’ initiative to provide a digital experience for Air Travellers through DigiYatra Platform. The 'DigiYatra' is an industry-led initiative coordinated by the Ministry in line with the contry’s Digital India's vision to transform the nation into a digitally empowered society. Digi Yatra platform will be built on 4 key pillars, like Connected Passengers, Connected Airports, Connected Flying and Connected Systems. India took over G-20 Presidency India formally took over the G20 presidency for one year from December 2022 to November 30, 2023. Hundred centrally-protected monuments, including UNESCO world heritage sites spread across the country, will be lit up for a week from December 1 to December 7. All illuminated heritage structures shall "highlight the G-20 logo over the monument”. In Tamil Nadu, Brihadeeswara Temple was lit with the G-20 logo. It is officially called Rajarajeshwaram and known locally as Thanjai Periya Kovil and Peruvudaiyar Kovil, is a Shaivite Hindu temple built in a Chola architectural style located on the south bank of the Cauvery river in Thanjavur About G-20 Logo The logo draws inspiration from the vibrant colours of India’s national flag – saffron, white and green, and blue.
