Natural Disasters – Safeguard Measures Disaster Management Bill: Passed in Lok Sabha 
The Disaster Management Amendment Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha. The bill was passed through voice vote in the Lok Sabha. The allocation for State Disaster Relief Fund has increased threefold from Rs.38,000 crore during 2004-2014 to Rs.1.24 lakh crore during 2014-2024. The National Disaster Relief Fund allocation has also been increased from Rs.28,000 crore to Rs.79,000 crore.
