The Tamil Nadu government has been acquiring land for setting up State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited (SIPCOT) industrial parks, Industries Minister M.C. Sampath informed the Assembly Three Sipcot industrial parks are in the works, including one at Gangaikondan in Tirunelveli district, which will co me up on a 1,700 acre area; one in Virudhunagar district, which will be spread over 1,500 acres; and a 300 acre premises in Theni district.
