Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister will launch the first phase of the ‘Nadu-Nedu’ programme to revamp the health sector by laying the foundation stone for a subcentre at Kurnool. Under the project, the government plans to take up construction and renovation works at the hospitals at a cost of `11,737 crore in a span of three years. As part of the first phase, `1,129 crore has been allocated for the health and wellness centres. Around 530 life-saving drugs are being provided in health care institutions.
